Meal Preparation

One of the most difficult challenges faced by senior Australians is having a great meal because most of them have lost interest in eating or are unable to prepare a meal independently. We often see care recipients losing their sense of taste and smell, resulting in food seeming less appealing. Our support workers can assist you with planning a weekly menu and purchasing the ingredients required to cook delicious meals and meet general or specific nutritional and dietary needs.
The goal for meal preparation is to empower you to live independently with the assistance of support workers preparing meals that you will enjoy and meeting your specific dietary, religious, cultural, and health needs, as well as your personal preferences.
Care recipients are encouraged to contribute and work alongside the support workers in the kitchen since that is an excellent opportunity to promote physical mobility and engage in stimulating conversation. This is not always possible therefore the support workers will follow the instructions provided to ensure you receive fresh meals.
Our support workers are trained regularly to ensure they understand the requirements of safe food handling.
